Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that: a) At the workplace located at 815 E. Hillsborough Ave. Tampa, FL 33615, observed on or about 5/24/2010, auto lifts were used that either had malfunctioning or missing lift locking devices which exposed employees to crush and struck-by hazards One feasible method is to comply with American National Standard Institute (ANSI) Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) Auto Lifts Operation Inspection and Maintenance ALOIM-2000 paragraph 4.5
