Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: (a) Location - 173 Alford Street, Everett, MA (Station #250): On or about 06/24/2010, employees were exposed to the hazard of electrical shock and burns while working with electrical equipment (current transformers) which were not adequately grounded. A feasible means of abatement would have been to conform to either the National Electrical Safety Code (ANSI C-2) section #15 - 150 or the IEEE Guide for Grounding of Instrument Transformer Secondary Circuits and Cases (ANSI C57) section(s)# 5.5.2 and 5.7.3.1.
