Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to electrical hazards and fall hazards. a) The employer failed to ensure that upper and lower controls on the aerial lift were in good working condition, exposing employees to fall hazards and electrical hazards. Among other methods, feasible and acceptable methods to correct the hazardous condition may include repairing or replacing the upper lift controls. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION NOT REQUIRED.
