Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Fall hazards while washing windows from a suspended boatswain's chair. The design or construction of the portable suspension device had not been approved by a registered professional engineer for the loads to be imposed. a) East side of building. An employee was washing windows while suspended from a portable suspension device, roof trolley. The design or construction of the trolley had not been approved by a registered professional engineer for the loads to be imposed. Among other methods, feasible and acceptable methods to correct the hazardous condition may include: follow the requirements of the International Window Cleaning Association publication IWCA I -14.1 - 2001 which was approved by the American National Standards Institute on October 25, 2001. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION NOT REQUIRED
