Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At auto repair area - auto lift rack Hunter Mfg., serial number not
available, had rear jack with
defective safety lock.  Was used to align vehicle wheels.
Hazard:  Failure of equipment to support vehicle.
Among other  methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct
this hazard is
to provide frequent inspection and maintenance to ensure safe operating
condition as specified
in ANSI/ALIA ALOIM 2000 "Standard for Automotive Lifts - Safety
Requirements for
Operation, Inspection and Maintenance of Lifts".  Defective equipment
shall be taken out of
service until repaired.
En area de reparacion de auto - la rampa de levantar automovil de
manufacturero Hunter,
numero de serie no disponible, tenia el gato de parte posterior con el
cierre de seguridad
defectuoso.  Era utilizado para alinear las ruedas de los vehiculos.
Riesgo:  Falla del equipo para sostener el vehiculo.
Entre otros metodos, un metodo factible y aceptable para corregir este
riesgo es de proveer
inspecciones frecuentes y mantenimiento para asegurar condiciones
operacionales seguras como
especificadas en el ANSI/ALIA ALOIM 2000 "Standard for Automotive Lifts -
Safety
Requirements for Operation, Inspection and Maintenance of Lifts".  Equipo
defectuoso debe
sacarse de servicio hasta repararse.

Domestic Violence Situations in the Workplace or Place of Employment, Act
No.
217 of 2006.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this
hazard is to provide
training to all the establishment's employees related to its written
protocol for the handling of
domestic violence in the workplace.

adiestramiento a todos los empleados del establecimiento relacionado a su
protocolo escrito para
el manejo de violencia domestica en el lugar de trabajo.a
