employees were exposed to:
Employees using a 1972 Hi-Ranger articulating boom mounted on a late model
Chevrolet
TopKick truck chassis while engaged in tree care operations were exposed
to a fall hazard of
various heights.  The boom lift on the truck had deficiencies that
included, but was not
limited to, the bucket cracked at the mount and the free travel exceeded
the maximum travel
after the controls were released.
A feasible abatement method is to follow the American National Standards
Institute standard
ANSI/SIA A92.2 009, for Vehicle Mounted Elevating and Rotating Aerial
Devices, as
applicable.
