Nevada Revised Statute 618.375(1): Duties of employers. The employer failed to furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees: The employer failed to ensure that the following processes were implemented and maintained in accordance with ANSI/ALI ALOIM-2008 as follows: a.Operator Training Documentation. Mechanics who use the auto lifts were not trained in accordance with ANSI/ALI ALOIM-2008, page 6, para. 4.3. Training was not provided and documented for employees. b.Daily Inspections. The employer did not inspect all the required items during the inspection process in accordance with ANSI/ALI ALOIM-2008, page 6 para. 4.4.4. No daily inspection documentation was provided during the inspection. c.Qualified Inspection Procedure. The employer did not establish a periodic inspection procedure in accordance with the recommendations of the lift manufacturer in order to ensure reliability and allowed the continued safe operation of the lift as stated in ANSI/ALI ALOIM-2008, page 7, para. 5.1. d.Inspection Points. The employer did not establish and ensure that inspection points were performed in accordance with ANSI/ALI ALOIM-2008, page 8, para. 5.6.2.1 to 5.6.2.28 and 5.6.3 to 5.6.3.10. e.Planned Maintenance. The employer did not establish and ensure that planned maintenance was performed and documented in accordance with ANSI/ALI ALOIM-2008, page 12, para. 6.1.1 and page 13, para. 6.1.4 and 6.1.5. A feasible means of abatement would be to follow the requirements of the ANSI/ALI ALOIM 2008 to allow the continued safe operation of the automobile lifts. SCHER'S SUPERIOR TIRE WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION 311018394, CITATION NUMBER 01 ITEM NUMBER 001, WITH A FINAL ORDER DATE OF AUGUST 23, 2007.
