The employer failed to furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees: The employer failed to ensure that the place of employment was free from recognized hazards, as follows: a.At the Hilton Grand Vacations job site, a step of a stairway had a damaged anti- slip rubber material. An employee tripped on the rubber material and fell 15 steps down the stairway. A feasible means of abatement is for management to regularly inspect the stairway and repair or replace broken anti-slip rubber materials of the stairway.
