North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazards: a)jobsite, employees were felling three trees and were not wearing hard hats, safety glasses, or ear plugs. b)jobsite, employees operating chainsaws were not wearing cut resistant pants. North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to contact with hazards: a)jobsite, the chain catch peg was missing from the Stihl chainsaw.
