Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a fall hazard due to the positioning of the aerial lift on an incline with improper cribbing. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method is to follow Genie's Operator's Manuel supplement, cribbing instructions, contained in Part No. 82943 for proper cribbing of the S-60 aerial lift.
