L.E. JONES DRILLING LLC, WAS PREVIOSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS
OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT SECTION
5(A)(1), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 311004519,
CITATION 01, ITEM 001 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON JUNE 4, 2008,
WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED ON RIG #2, AT PEARLEA 1-35.
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm:
For the employees working around the air hoist on or about April 4, 2011,
the employer did not
ensure the proper application of wire rope clamps was used on the end of a
wire rope lifting
line.
Among other methods, a recognized and feasible means of abatement to
correct this hazard
includes, but is not limited to, training personnel in proper rigging
tecniques, the proper
application of wire rope clamps, and conduct regular inspections using a
competent person.
