Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: At school - The employer had presence of pigeons, they flew into the second floor and step in the handrail making it dirty from their droppings. Hazard: Illnesses related to contact with bird droppings. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to install a net or any sort of barrier that does not allow their entrance into the building. En la escuela - El patrono contaba con la presencia de palomas, volaban al segundo nivel y se paraban en el pasamanos y lo llenaban de excremento. Riesgo: Enfermedades relacionadas por contacto con excremento de aves. Entre otros metodos, un metodo aceptable y factible para corregir este con riesgo es colocar algun tipo de barrera que le impida la entrada al edificio.
