Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The

AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE METHOD TO
CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS TO FOLLOW THE ANSI-ASC A14.2-2007, RULES FOR
LADDER USE, WHICH STATES THAT LADDERS SHALL NOT BE PLACED IN
FRONT OF DOORS OPENING TOWARD THE LADDER UNLESS THE DOOR IS
BLOCKED OPEN, LOCKED, OR GUARDED.
NOTE: The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this
item in
accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
