Condition:Employees were exposed to struck-by hazards created when the
employer failed to
provide training and procedures to safely re-bail recycled plastic bottles.
Among other methods, one feasible and accepted method to abate this hazard
would be to place the bail in a
suitable container and stand in a safe location prior to cutting the
bail's wire.
Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs,
training certification, etc.) is
required for this item.
