Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:On or About 10/18/10 Location:Mill Shop Condition:Employees used 3/4-inch CPVC pipe to convey compressed air set at approximately 110 p.s.i. Among other methods, one feasible and accepted method to abate this hazard is to install pipes constructed of or be encased in shatter resistant materials in accordance with American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Standard D1785-86.
