Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:03/25/11 Location:North and South Side of the Building Condition:Employees were exposed to the hazard of being crushed/struck by collapsing roof trusses due to inadequate bracing techniques. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to install bracing in accordance with the Wood Truss Council of America recommendations per BCSI-B1 Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs, training certification, etc.) is required for this item.

Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:03/25/11 Location:North, Middle, and South side of the Building Condition:Employees were exposed to unguarded 3/4-inch diameter vertical PVC pipe protruding approximately 12 inches above concrete while receiving roof trusses. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to install caps in accordance with the letter of Standard Interpretations 04/24/06. Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs, training certification, etc.) is required for this item.
