Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: At the Consolidated Waste Service Corp dba Conwaste in Fajardo Landfill an employee was exposed to musculoskeletal injuries and illnesses when drive a truck #02-115 (employer identification number) with the driver seat broken. The driver had to drive the truck for a long route between Fajardo to Loiza city each working day as a part of their gathered garbage task. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is change the driver seat to the truck. En Consolidated Waste Service Corp h/n/c Conwaste en el Vertedero de Fajardo un empleado estaba expuesto a lesiones y enfermedades musculo esqueletales cuando conducia el camion #02- 115 (numero de identificacion del patrono) con el asiento del conductor roto. El chofer tenia que conducir el camion por una larga ruta entre el municipio de Fajardo y Loiza cada dia de trabajo como parte de su tarea de recogido de basura. Entre otros metodos, un metodo apropiado y aceptable para corregir este riesgo es cambiar el asiento del conductor al camion.
