Condition:The emergency eyewash bottles provided where employees used a
corrosive material,
Brick-Lok Type S Masonry Cement, would not provide 15 minutes of continuous
flushing.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct
these hazards is to provide
emergency eyewash stations that provide a minimal of 15 minutes of flush
time which complies with American
National Standards Institute (ANSI) Z358.1, "Emergency Eye Wash and Shower
Euipment."
Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs,
training certification, etc.) is
required for this item.
