Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:01/28/11 Location:Warehouse Equipment:Caterpillar T50B Propane Forklift, Serial # 272736 Condition:Employees were required to operate a forklift without a seatbelt being installed on the forklift. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to buy a seatbelt kit for the forklift and install a seatbelt on the forklift.
