Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:04/11/11 Location:Office/Lab Building Condition:Employees used buffers with the pH of 4 and 10 to calibrate their pH meters and the only eyewash station available to them was a 16 ounce eyewash bottle, which is not capable of providing 15 minutes of drenching. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct the hazard is to install an eyewash station in accordance to ANSI Z358.1.nce
