Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:01/20/11 Location:Second Floor of Building Condition:Employees were exposed to the hazard of being crushed/struck by collapsing metal roof trusses that were not adequately braced during installation. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to comply with the manufacturer's recommendations on how to properly brace the trusses following the CFSB1 summary sheet. Abatement documentation (photograghs, receipts, copies of programs, training certification, etc.) is required for this item.
