Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to crushing hazards: (a) Location - Adesda, Framingham, MA: On or about 2/18/11, the employer failed to provide a safe, sequential process for loading and securing vehicles onto car-hauling equipment. Among other means, one acceptable method to abate this hazard is to develop and implement a process where vehicles are properly secured before employee's position themselves between vehicles eliminating the crushing potential. Train all affected employees accordingly.
