Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of: (a) Location - 350 Lowell Street, Andover, MA: On or about 03/16/2011, employees were exposed to electrical hazards when they operated a welding machine that was not set up according to the manufacturer's recomendation. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to eliminate or reduce this hazard is to follow the owner's manual instructions and the manufacturer's recomendation.
