Section 5(A)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to falling hazards: On or about 03/04/2011, 11756 Lake House Ct., North Palm Beach, Florida, employees riding on the edge of the cargo area of an Isuzu NPR insulated van used for landscaping work were exposed to the hazard of falling from the vehicle while moving. Among other methods of abatement, one feasible and acceptable method is to prohibit employees from sitting on or working from the edge of the cargo area. PLEASE NOTE: CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
