Section 5(A)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: On or about 03/102011, at 100 N.W.33rd Street, Pompano Beach, Fl.,an employee was exposed to the hazard of being crushed by a tractor trailer, and other motor vehicles that travel into the facility. Among feasible methods of abatement to correct this hazard are: 1. Establish a policy where delivery trucks such as tractor trailer are required to notify the company of its arrival. 2.Implement a standard operating procedure that will incorporate a spotter or a warning alarm system. PLEASE NOTE: DOCUMENTATION AND CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRE FOR THIS VIOLATION.
