Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:On or About 05/16/11 Location:Behind Maintenance Shop Condition:Employees dispensing Con Clean, a corrosive, were provided with an eyewash located approximately 95 feet away in a building accessible by door. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to abate these hazards is to install the eyewash station according to the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) publication, ANSI Z358.1-2009. Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs, training certification, etc.) is required for this item.
