Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:On or About 03/30/11 Equipment:Hyster Forklift, Model S25XL Condition:A liquefied petroleum powered forklift lacked seatbelt protection. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard would be to install and utilize a restraint system in accordance with the current version of American National Standards Institute (ANSI) B56.1, "Safety Standard for Powered Industrial Trucks", and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) B56.1-2000, "Safety Standard for Low Lift and High Lift Trucks."
