from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or
serious physical harm in that employees
were exposed to: Caught by hazards.
a)Maintenance  equipment shed - the "International" compact utility
tractor model #424 with the
job built roll over protection system was not equipped with a seat belt.
b)Maintenance  equipment shed - the "Scag Z Cat" mower equipped with the
one piece roll over
protection bar had an unusable seat belt as it was tucked under the seat
frame cover and stuck
in the engine compartment.
Abatement note: One means of abatement would be to purchase and install a
new seat belt equipment
on all equipment with roll over protection devices according to the
manufacturer's requirements.

ROPS to keep the operators
from being thrown against structure during an overturn.
