Health Act of North Carolina:  The
employer did not furnish to each of his employees  conditions of
employment and a place of employment free
from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or

that employees were exposed to fire and explosion hazards from Hydrogen
gas:
a)facility - where the employer did not perform maintenance on a hydrogen
gas system used by
employees to calibrate equipment exposing employees to fire and explosion
hazards.
ABATEMENT NOTE: One feasible abatement method, among others, to correct
this hazard
are, but not limited to:
1.Establish and implement a maintenance program to be performed annually.
2.The maintenance shall include inspection for physical damage, leak
tightness,
ground
system integrity, vent system operation, equipment identification, warning
signs,
operator information and training records, scheduled maintenance and
retest records,
alarm operation, and other safety related features.
3.Scheduled maintenance and retest activities shall be formally
documented, and records
shall be maintained a minimum of 3 years.

from adjoining areas.
