Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to being struck by suspended loads of steel beams. a.On or about November 28, 2011, the LULL 944E-42 Telehandler was used to suspend loads of steel beams that were attached to the cubing forks by a steel choker cable, exposing employees to the hazard of being struck by the load. Feasible and acceptable methods of abatement include, but are not limited to: (1)Rent a crane with a hook for suspended loads. (2)Rent a truss boom with hook or lifting hook attachment approved by the manufacturer for use with the telehandler. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION ARE NOT REQUIRED.TION
