North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazards: a)marina, for employees who work under boats that are suspended using a 25-ton Marine Travelift to conduct maintenance, cleaning and repair activities. One feasible and acceptable method of abatement is to follow the Travelift manufacturer's recommendations to "Never work near or under a suspended load."ded
