Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that: employees were exposed to fall hazards. (a)Warehouse, north bay, adjacent to column 10 and MG Burner no. 1: Louisville FE3232 fiberglass extension ladder with a damaged side rail was used to access the overhead runway conductor for crane no. 7, on or about 12/01/11. Among other methods, one feasible means of abatement for this hazard is to follow the manufacturer's recommendation that damaged ladders not be used.rs
