Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazards: (a)On or about 08/24/2011 - Manufacturing Room, crane hooks were not equipped with safety latches. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to install safety latches on the crane hooks. Alabama Wilbert, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent Section of the Act for not installing safety latches on crane hooks, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 311731111, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on 5/9/08, with respect to a workplace located at 416 Rose Road, Albertville, AL 35950.
