North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Struck by hazards a)Press, hose building and shop equipment area - the 20 ton hydraulic bearing press "TOC model 1824" had a damaged upper bolster and pressing bracket that prevented even pressure and allowed a uneven force that would allow parts and bushings/fittings to fly out under pressure. Abatement note: One means of abatement would be to purchase the replacement parts and restore the pressed proper alignment.t
