North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to struck by or crushing hazards. a)facility, west side of the property in front of the back building, where a Caterpillar Lift Truck, Model # TC30, Serial # 71V00374, was not equipped with a seatbelt or other appropriate operator restraint system. Abatement Notes: Contact the manufacturer, Caterpillar, and arrange to have an appropriate operator restraint system or seatbelt installed.
