employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment
and a place of employment free from
recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious
physical harm to employees in that
employees were exposed to a fall from elevation:
a)Storage building - Where a 10' tall job made ladder was constructed
improperly out of rough
sawn 2" X 6" hardwood lumber and did not have any blocking in between the
rungs or have the
proper amount of nails attaching the rungs to the side rails.
Abatement Note:
One feasible means of abatement would be to construct the ladder
correctly, with the blocking in between the
rungs and the proper amount of nails per rung.
