Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to electrical shock and burns. (a) Location - 601 Donald Lynch Boulevard, Marlborough, MA: On or about 11/07/2011, a balancing lug of a cranes counterweight had struck an energized electrical transformer. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable means to abate this hazards is to ensure that no objects are near the counter weight chassis in accordance with the Liebherr operating instructions.
