Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:03/01/12 Condition:An employee exposed to traffic related hazards while working and walking on the roadway was not wearing a highly visible traffic safety vest. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to follow MUTCD, Part 6, Temporary Traffic Control, Section 6D.02 Worker Consideration, (B) Worker Clothing, as specified in Section 6E.02, High-Visibility Clothing.
