Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employmnent and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that, employees were exposed to the hazard of falling to the ground while power washing a house: WORKSITE: The employee, engaged in power washing the porch roof and siding of a building from an elevated work platform was not protected from the hazard of falling 12 feet to the ground by use of appropriate personal fall arrest and/or guardrail systems.
