Section 5(A)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: On or about 02/21/2012 on a job site located on 901 Hillsboro Mile, Hillsboro Beach, Florida; an employee suffered second degree burns in a process of service a hot water heater. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct the hazard is to use a qualified person such as a licensed plumber, a license gas fitter or a professional service technician. PLEASE NOTE: CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
