Condition:An employee operated a fork lift that did not have a seatbelt.
Among others, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard,
install and utilize a restraint system
in accordance with the current version of American National Standards
Institute (ANSI) B56.1, "Safety
Standard for Powered Industrial Trucks," and American Society of
Mechanical Engineers (ASME) B56.1-
2000, "Safety Standard for Low Lift and High Lift Trucks.
Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs,
training certification, etc.)
is required for this item.
