furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:

El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At administrative offices of Aireko Construction Corp., warehouse area -
the employer did not
determine if the walking/working surfaces on which its employees were to
work had the strenght
and structural integrity to support employees safely.  An employee fell
through a metal roof, at
17 feet high, to the concrete floor.  The metal sheet roof did not support
his
weight while
walking over it.  The employee died four days later due to the multiple
traumas suffered.  Two
employees were assigned to clear debris from the rain gutters around the
structure which
consisted of concrete and metal roofs.
Hazard:  Falls.
Among other  methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard is
to establish written procedures to  evaluate safety hazard associted with
walking/working
surfaces before assigning work a los empleados.

a trabajar tenian la
fortaleza y la integridad estructural para sostener a los empleados en
forma segura.  Un
empleado cayo a traves de un techo en metal, a 17 pies de altura, hacia el
piso en hormigon.
El techo de planchas en metal no soporto su peso mientras caminaba sobre
el.  El empleado
murio cuatro dias mas tarde debido a los traumas multiples.  Dos empleados
estaban asignados
a despejar escombros del canal de desagGe de la lluvia alrededor de la
estructura que consistia
de techos en hormigon y metal.
Riesgo:  Caidas.
Entre otros metodos, un metodo factible y aceptable de corregir este
riesgo es de hacer proceso
escrito para evaluar los riesgos asociados con las superficies de
caminar/trabajar antes de asignar
empleados a realizar el trabajo.
