North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fire and explosion hazards: a)Re-grind area, the re-grind equipment including, but not limited to, the repel line and production lines 1-7 were not dust tight or equipped with continuous suction to control the escape of fugitive dust during normal operation. b)Plant, air material seperators including, but not limited to, Line-1, push-pull system and repel line were not provided with explosion protection. One feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to install explosion protection in accordance with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 654: Standards for the Prevention of Fire and Dust Explosion from the Manufacturing, Processing, and Handling of Combustible Particulate Solids.late
