Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:07/11/12 Condition:Employees operating a Volvo 160 BLC excavator, a Komatsu P.C. 400 excavator and a Komatsu WA 320 loader were not using the equipped seatbelts. One feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard would be to utilize the equipped restraint system. The proposed penalty for this item has been reduced by 50for effective and efficient abatement during the inspection.
