Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:09/04/12 Location:Chemical Storage Room Condition:An eyewash facility capable of producing 15 minutes of continuous flush was not provided where employees handled and stored nitric acid. Among other methods of abatement, one feasible method of abatement is to install eyewash stations that meet the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Z358.1-2009, Standard for Emergency Eyewashes and Shower Equipment.
