Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:08/14/13 Location:Installation Shop Storage Area North and West Walls Condition:Storage racks that are loaded and unloaded with a forklift were not anchored to the floor to prevent them from being knocked over if they were contacted adversely by the forklift. Among others, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard, is to secure all of the rack's columns to the floor. The anchor bolts shall be installed in accordance with the anchor manufacturer's recommendations in accordance with the current version of Rack Manufacturers Institute MH16.1-2008, "Specification for the Design, Testing and Utilization of Industrial Steel Storage Racks."
