31-372-101 Section 31-370(a) of the Connecticut Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to hazards of struck-by vehicular traffic. Location: (A)440 Adams Street (1)A police officer performing traffic control on 4/27/2014 was not wearing a high visibility garment when standing in the roadway. A feasible and acceptable means of abatement is to ensure employees wear high visibility garments at all times with a recommendation to retrain employees on the department policy: SOP 11-2.
