Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:On or About 10/26/12 Equipment:Clark Fork Lift, Model #C500 YS60, Serial #Y355 317 3810 11 77 Condition:Employees operated a fork lift that did not have a seatbelt. Among others, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard, install and utilize a restraint system in accordance with the current version of American National Standards Institute (ANSI) B56.1, "Safety Standard for Powered Industrial Trucks, and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) B56.1- 2000, "Safety Standard for Low Lift and High Lift Trucks. Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs, training certification, etc.) is required for this item.
