Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:11/27/12 Location:Office Equipment:Duplex Receptacle, 120-volt, 15-ampere Condition:The wall-mounted receptacle 24 inches from the floor was missing its cover exposing energized electrical parts. (b)Date of Violation:On or About 11/27/12 Location:Receiving Dock Equipment:Duplex Receptacle, 120-volt, 15-ampere Condition:The wall-mounted receptacle's cover was damaged exposing energized electrical parts 56 inches from the floor. Among other methods, feasible and acceptable methods to correct these hazards per (a) NEC 2008 406.4(F) Exposed Terminals: Receptacles shall be enclosed so that live wiring terminals are not exposed to contact. (b) NEC 2008 406.5 Receptacles Faceplates (Cover Plates): Receptacle faceplates shall be installed so as to completely cover the opening and seat against the mounting surface.
