Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:01/30/13 Location:Front of Townhouse Condition:The portable emergency eyewash provided where employees used corrosive materials, such as Roanoke Cement Type N Masonry Cement, would not provide 15 minutes of continuous flushing since it was empty. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to provide an emergency eyewash station that provides a minimal of 15 minutes of flush time which complies with American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Z358.1, "Emergency Eye Wash and Shower Equipment."
